OpenAI’s ChatGPT has introduced a new feature that allows users to listen to its responses audibly.
This function is accessible on OpenAI’s Android and iOS applications by long-pressing ChatGPT’s text response and selecting “Read Aloud.”

OpenAI has announced that this feature is being gradually rolled out on the web as well. Users can find the “Read Aloud” button below the message. However, it is not universally available yet, as some users may not see it, and ChatGPT may not recognize the feature.
Read Aloud is supported on ChatGPT 3.5 and ChatGPT 4, providing five different voice options. The chatbot is proficient in 37 languages and can automatically detect the text language it is reading.
ChatGPT encounters issues, producing garbled text for many users
OpenAI originally introduced voice capabilities for ChatGPT in September 2023, enabling users to ask questions via voice prompts and receive responses in the bot’s voice. The latest enhancement allows the bot to generate a written response first and then read it aloud to the user.
