Engaging with others on TikTok can sometimes be overwhelming. Whether it’s to manage your peace of mind or set boundaries, blocking a user is a practical solution. Here’s a simple way to do it:
- 3 minutes
- iPhone with the TikTok app installed
Step 1: Go to the TikTok profile of the person you want to block
You will need to find and open the TikTok profile of the person you wish to block. For this example, we are using TikTok’s official account.
Step 2: Tap on the share button
Surprisingly, the first step in blocking someone on TikTok involves tapping on the share button located in the top right corner of their profile.
Step 3: Choose the “Block” option
After tapping the share button, a pop-up will appear allowing you to share it within the app or outside. Below this, you will find the “Block” option. Click on it to proceed.
Step 4: Confirm the block
Once you’ve selected “Block,” a confirmation prompt will appear to confirm your action. Choose “Block” again to confirm and finalize the blocking process.
That’s it! You have successfully blocked a user on TikTok. If you ever want to unblock them, simply go to their profile and click on “unblock.” You’ll find this option prominently displayed in bright red at the center of the page.
Have a hassle-free time on TikTok!
