Claude, a generative AI chatbot created by Anthropic, has received a significant update. This chatbot competes with ChatGPT and has the support of Google and Amazon. Recently, Anthropic announced the launch of Claude 3, a suite of AI models. In an interview with Reuters, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei referred to it as “the Rolls-Royce of models.”

The company stated, “The family consists of three cutting-edge models in increasing order of capability: Claude 3 Haiku, Claude 3 Sonnet, and Claude 3 Opus.” Each model offers improved performance, allowing users to choose the right balance of intelligence, speed, and cost for their specific needs.

Haiku is characterized as “light and fast,” Sonnet as “hard-working,” and Opus as “powerful.” According to CNBC, Anthropic’s AI can handle various types of unstructured data such as text, photos, charts, and documents, but it currently generates only text responses due to lower demand for images in the enterprise sector. Sonnet and Opus are available in 159 countries, while Haiku is not yet accessible.

This update follows the releases of Claude 2 in July and Claude Pro in September, indicating the ever-growing nature of the AI field.
