Let’s explore the world of video editing. In today’s online world, having even basic video editing skills can be highly beneficial. Whether you’re creating content for work, social media, or personal use, knowing how to edit videos is a valuable skill.

How to Edit Videos

One recommended tool for video editing is Adobe Premiere, a popular choice among professionals due to its intuitive interface and wide range of features.

Step 1: Begin by opening Adobe Premiere. Import your video clips by selecting File in the top menu bar, then click Import to choose the desired clips.

Step 2: Drag and drop each clip into the Main Sequence bar at the bottom center of the screen.

Step 3: Use the Razor Tool (or C key) to refine each clip by identifying the start and end points with the playhead on the Main Sequence bar.

Switch to the Selection Tool (or V key) to remove unwanted clips by selecting them and pressing the Delete button.

Step 4: To add new audio, import audio files into the Project panel and arrange them in the Main Sequence accordingly.

Mute original audio tracks by clicking on the ‘M’ symbol on the designated audio track (usually Audio 1) in the Main Sequence.

Step 5: Rearrange your clips and audio tracks by dragging them within the Main Sequence.

Step 7: Select all clips in the Main Sequence, then go to File in the top menu and choose Export.

Select Media, name your file, choose the export format, and location. Opting for YouTube 1080p Full HD is a good preset for broad compatibility.

With your edited video complete, you can share it across various platforms—YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or store it on Google Drive.
